Based in the Canary Islands - Working World WideAndy Mcleod of The Clan Mcleod, was born and raised in the Scottish Highlands. He studied cinematography at Bournemouth Film School in the UK during the mid- 80's, before embarking on a career as a Director of Photography. He is a highly versatile and creative cameraman with more than 20 years experience shooting TV commercials, drama, documentaries and music videos in all corners of the world, from Antarctica to Zanzibar. As an underwater cameraman, Andy has logged more than 2,000 dives in all types of conditions, and is a SCUBA instructor with both PADI and BSAC. He is also an owner/operator of a custom built underwater housing for the RED Epic & ONE MX cameras, along with extensive underwater communications equipment. In 2004, Andy settled in the Canary Islands, and founded the service production and equipment rental companies, Film!CanaryIslands, and Film!Morocco, with business partner and Line Producer, Norbert A Schilling. Although being based in the Canary Islands, Andy still enjoys the occasional foray into the outside world, most recently to shoot the acclaimed TV series, "Daredevils" which won the "Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography Award" at the Factual Entertainment Awards, Santa Monica, June 2010.
