A collection of photos I have taken on my travels around the world. My first big trips started in 1995 when analogue film was the only way to take photographs. I switched to digital sometime in the early 2000's

Recent diving trips
March 2025 saw me visiting South Africa. After totally failing to see a great white from Cape Town, I flew over to Durban and dived in Aliwal shoal and Sodwana bay. The conditions were tough: bad visibility, rain and rough seas but the most spectacular corals I have ever seen!

March 2024 I took a trip to the Maldives, splitting my time between Bandos Island, close to the capital, Male, and Fuvamulah Island, just over the equator and famous for tiger sharks

February 2023 I set off for Nassau, Bahamas to join a 7 day liveaboard. Highlights were the incredible corals, shipwrecks, reef sharks and the over friendly nurse sharks. All shot on a Panasonic GH5.

Analogue Travels 1990-2003
Personal photography, usually taken whilst working as a documentary cameraman, and shot of film. Recently the negatives have been digitised.
During 1990 and 1991 I made 3 visits to Morocco, backpacking from the vibrant north down to the remote sahara region. Armed with just a Canon A1 and boundless enthusiasm, inspired by Sebastio Salgado, I embraced the madness that is Morocco!

In November 1994 I travelled to Kalimantan in Indonesian Borneo to shoot a self-funded documentary with best selling author Terry Pratchett

January 1997 found me in Ethiopia, shooting an episode for the travel show "Lonely Planet". We travelled from Axum in the north, witnessing the incredible ancient culture, down to the tribal areas of the Rift Valley in the south

Spring 1997, and I headed to Cameroon to film a documentary about the bush meat trade. We also had the privilige to film at Limbe Wildlife Centre and witness their work caring for orphaned gorillas and chimpanzees.

Summer 1997 I set off on one of the toughest jobs I have ever had in the most challenging country I have ever visited... Pakistan.

January 2001 I had the incredible oportunity to spend 3 months sailing around Antarctica whilst filming a 2 hour documentary with Sir Peter Blake.
